Vajreshwari Temple - Mumbai

The Vajreshwari Temple is also famous as Shree Vajreshwari Yogini Devi Mandir. This temple of Vajreshwari is devoted to the Vajreshwari goddess-the incarnation of Goddess Parvati and considered as one of the sacred temple of Hindus. It is situated about 75 km far from Mumbai, in the town Vajreshwari that is earlier known as Vadvali. Later this temple was altered as Vajreshwari in honor of the presiding deity of the temple.

Vajreshwari Temple considered as a souvenir of Marathas and was constructed in 1739 by Chimmaji Appa (Peshwa bajirao's brother) after capturing the Bassein fort. Inside this temple, a small idol of Lord Ganesha and other gods-goddess rightly carved on the pillars of the temples.

This temple of Vajreshwari is on the small hammock that anybody can get a prominent view with nice greenery in surroundings. Moreover, a nice river further up along the way from Temple of Vajreshwari.

Vajreshwari Temple is such a nice temple and numerous devotees prefer to visit.
