Ancient temples, Amarkantak
is located in the south of the “Narmada Kund” or just behind it. These were established by Kalachuri Maharaja Karnadeva (1042-1072 AD). The Pataleshwar and Machhendranath temples are the excellent examples of architecture. The another temple near this temple is Keshav Narayan temple which was built by Bhonsle ruler of Nagpur in the 18th century.
